But, not being a huge fan of the tabletop game, would it be stretching lore too much to put some aspects of the ranged class in with the melee class?Bildohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06984263503537727388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13266751.post-20862862147936493422008-02-12T10:29:00.000-05:002008-02-12T10:29:00.000-05:00I should of been more clear that there isn't much ...I should of been more clear that there isn't much that can be done to make 6 DPS (2 per race, 3 races per side) classes unique enough to really justify development time.

It would be better just to cut the extra vanilla DPS class, especially considering the tank and support/healer classes will be DPS heavy as well and will have the ability to focus on DPS if they so choose with the career mastery.heartlessgamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02809717223567961650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13266751.post-76486283851088074282008-02-12T10:26:00.000-05:002008-02-12T10:26:00.000-05:00Yes, that is/was the plan. However, they changed ...Yes, that is/was the plan. However, they changed the way each class works and gave them three possible spec paths to follow (sort of like World of Warcraft's three talent trees).

Which makes some people wonder if there is a point to having two DPS classes per race, because a lot of "clone syndrome" could occur since there is only so much that can be done to make a DPS class unique.

Anyways, the door is wide open now for Mythic to cut classes and that is without "reading into" the post by Mark Jacobs at all. He clearly states they are open to cutting stuff that does not work.heartlessgamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02809717223567961650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13266751.post-42321627528788891032008-02-12T09:50:00.000-05:002008-02-12T09:50:00.000-05:00I thought their class system seemed simple and wel...I thought their class system seemed simple and well balanced for PvP. Wasn't each race in Warhammer basically going to get four classes that fit into the following archtypes?

Melee Tank
Melee DPS
Range DPS
Support/Heal

I don't think they should have any problems balancing the classes unless they got too fancy with the implementation of one of them.Relmsteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10358853054116842043noreply@blogger.com
