Did you vote today?

Today is voting day here in the good ole' USA and I hope everyone got out and voted! Of course I didn't go out and vote, but that is because I sent my absentee ballot in a week ago. Absentee voting > all other forms of voting. It is like having a voting booth delivered to your home. Ample time to vote, no double/triple checking of my ID, and most of all NO waiting in lines!

I also hope you are out there voting with your wallets for the gaming community. That means not buying titles like Madden '07 and Battlefield 2142. That means not paying monthly subscriptions for games like Star Wars: Galaxies. Stop buying crappy games!!!

I also had the day off from class, but of course early this morning my Internet went out. Some unscheduled line maintenance in my area. Unfortunately all the cabling is buried underground so it takes forever to get it fixed. Luckily the Internet just came back up... just in time for me to cook dinner :(

  1. Screw voting. I would probably vote if 95% of the commercials were actually informative rather than mindless trash talk designed to inspire fear and hatred towards "the other guy". I hope we all stop voting and then when someone gets elected thanks to the 1% who actually voted, we can all look around and say "how did it come to this"?

I don't want to hijack your comments and turn this into a political discussion but just wanted to say I read your comment on Zen today.

    Good job.

  3. It's fine... can't drop comments like that and not expect discussion to occur. People are lazy by nature... I understand that it is easier to just blame Bush instead of analyzing the problems.

Personally I don't 100% support Bush or the Republicans, but I'll let the facts lie where they lie. We are better off today with the tax cuts and actions we've taken abroad against terrorism.

Also I think a lot of the better candidates won yesterday. Even if I call myself a "republican" you will never find me voting blindly on the party.

All I care about now is that these politicans do something... I am sick of the beating around the bush that has occured since 2000.

And if I hear one more Democrat say that "The Republicans are out of touch with America." I'm going off the deep end. America doesn't vote... what was the turn out... did we even get 50%? Elections don't mean jack shit about what America thinks. Because if it was about what America thought then we would have no government.
