Mythos Update

The beta for Mythos, Flagship Studio's free-to-play sudo-MMORPG, has a massive update incoming today.
As many of you already know, we'll be taking down the servers at 1:30 to install a new build. You will automatically patch when you log in, so don't worry about re-downloading or anything. This patch fixes many of the inevitable little bugs that cropped up with the huge update. Changelists are posted in the forums so check it out if you're curious as to what's changed. Our downtime should be short - under an hour.
Included in the update is an entirely new hub town and adventure zone, essentially doubling the size of the current Mythos universe. With this comes new levels, a revamped skill system, and tons of new items. I should have some updated impressions within the next few days.

My initial impressions of Mythos can be found here.

Hey Heartless, if it was you whom posted on VN, this is Lomesh, responded to your DAoC questions. I was wondering if you were in Mythos beta aswell. I have been in since the first family/friends release :D first time I will have met somebody outside of game whom plays. Also play TF2 and DAoC obviously :)

  2. I have to admit that my wife plays more Mythos than I do, but I think that is because the last Mythos beta release was sort of "stale". Hopefully this new one brings some vigor into the game, because it really played like a bad Diablo clone.

Fortunately, TF2 has kept me busy lately because I'm bored everywhere else.

Aye I just redownloaded it for this release and it does seem like they really sped the game up and made some major improvements. I would suggest redownloading it and giving it another shot.

  4. Like Lomesh, I'd definitely recommend re-downloading. It's gotten much more interesting with this release.
