Anyone Actually Using Road-To-War.com?

Is anyone out there actually using Road-To-War? Mythic really hasn't pushed the website yet and the beta banner across top doesn't inspire me to really care that much yet.

My old account seems to be gone now, along with all the gold. I'm not even quite sure where to go and get information regarding the Road-To-War site currently. There is only a spattering of information spread across various Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) message boards.

Oh well, if the website is officially rolling now, which I am not sure about, I have included a poll for visitors to vote on that will earn my Road-To-War account some gold to throw around in the epic state vs. state battles.

I am trying it out .. not clear on how the battle works. Give money to fund the war? What is it Republican road to war. There is some great wallpaper you can get form the site. In the profile & trophy room .. the download tab.

  2. Don't waste your time. There is major issues with the way the thing works. The major glaring issue is the rampant cheating. People are allowed to create accounts through child email accounts for example, endlessly.

The whole leaderboard is a joke, the top guys 5 days ago had no more than 10 referrals, today they have over 200.

Until Mythic fixes this, I will not waste my time.

  3. I wouldn't know anything about cheating, but for the moment I've simply found the imbalance to be untenable. When the only mechanic for winning battles is your gold contribution, having a destruction top earner who earns only 4k less than the entire order top 10 earners combined is a little silly.

For those of you who don't know how to judge 4k gold, the top earner I referred to has something like 140K, and the guy below him is only about 10k behind.

OF course the top earner's name also begins with SA so it wouldn't surprise me if that was just the goon influence.

  4. Not. It's a poorly cobbled-together attempt to get some viral marketing going. Plus, the site's crap. (How's that for an objective judgement? ;))

  5. Well lets all hope this is beta and that Mythic is able to filter fake referrals. I have faith they can filter the cheaters to a degree.

Hehe, I am completely uninterested in Road to WAR. I understand the point of it all, but it has zero wow-factor for me.
